Anne Ikeda

Operations Manager

Anne has been with Image X as the Operations Manager since October 2006. After graduating from Simon Fraser University with a degree in Communication, she left hometown Vancouver to live in Japan for 2 years as a Coordinator of International Relations for the JET Program (Japan Exchange and Teaching Program). Although she loved the great food and the multifaceted Japanese culture, she realized that she missed the freedom, diversity and laidback lifestyle of Vancouver and decided to move back to Lotusland.

Joining Image X has been a big learning experience for Anne. Drupal, Photoshop, InDesign and bookkeeping were completely new realms of knowledge in which Anne has gradually built up her skills at Image X. The company has evolved a lot since she came on board, and Anne has witnessed the Image X portfolio develop from one that was made up of mostly brochure sites to one filled with gorgeous sites with advanced functionality. She loves being a part of a team where learning and growing is a constant state of being.

I’m the bookkeeper, receptionist, Recycling Nazi, and Nib jar filler. I also help out wherever I can with proposals, Drupal site setup, content management, and IXM site updates.

If I could have any superpower…
I’d definitely go for teletransportation. No more paying for expensive gas, and plane fares!

Favorite Gadget/Software:
My spring-loaded stapler. (I’m not as technologically inclined as my fellow ImageXers)

What do you like about ImageX?
Everyone’s really chill here, but they also work really hard. I also really appreciate the fact that everyone is willing to pass on their knowledge and skills. Oh, and Friday staff lunches rule!

Favourite workday lunch:
Any lunch that I didn’t have to cook (eg Friday staff lunch).

Tech skill you’re most proud of: My elementary skills with Drupal modules and configuration. (I’d never even heard of Drupal before coming to ImageX)
